flooring, windows and ceiling/walls. As a result this space will look completely different from it's former self. Also, because of code compliance, the stairwell will have a new pony wall surrounding it with a half size wooden door and a top cap over the steepest part of the stairwell.

One of the two issues we discovered when removing the popcorn ceiling and old wood panel was water damage around the fireplace. That was fixed by the roof replacement. However, the sheet rock needed to be replaced. When we removed the paneling, we decided to replace the sheet rock too. Second issue was all the ceiling sheet rock was puckering and very out of plumb. The only fix for that is removal and replacement. Ops didn't count on that...

Here, Father and son are setting the second header beam in place, This one was third of the length of the first beam. Now we came see the full impact of the beams our new remodeled space.
Now Sandy and I get to visualize our new home with all this new view of the nature that surrounds our home and the reason to stay in this house for a long time.
Here's a view of the 8 foot and 22 foot beams connected together. We now can focus getting the electrical in the walls and ceiling so the sheet rocking can be done.
Also all the insulation can be re-installed.
Only of the key routines of each work day is the clean-up of the construction site. Darrell and crew spend the last hour to swept the site, remove all debris and stack all tools, ladders, other items in a safe place so there is no danger to Sandy and I.
Sandy and I are very pleased with the progress of this remodel. It is a hugh undertaking and test our resolve to have a home we will enjoy for a long time.
