On Tuesday, Sandy when off campus to visit a friend in Lake County. I was on a road trip so for Day 79 we had only two good shots; both of Darrell in action.
One was scheduling subs or getting updates from suppliers.
The other is his constant job site vacuuming to keep down the dust during construction. Both Sandy and I really appreciate his Mr. Cleanness efforts.
The next day our tile man join the construction.
ABOVE, This is our Tile man, Todd. He will be installing new tile floors in our Hall Bathroom and Utility Room.
LEFT, we are install an electric floor mat before installing the tile. If you you have ever experienced a warm tile floor when it's cold you know what a nice feature this is going to be for our bathroom.
There is quite alot of coordination to install an electrical floor including insuring the energy system to regulate the temperature is working.
Also you need to insulate the mat from the sub floor with a non-combustible material barrier, Hardie Back.
BELOW, Darrell confers with Todd on some logistical issues.
There are always a lot of special cuts and tile adjustments when there is plumbing penetrations to account for.
LEFT, Victor has a lot of door staining, molding undercoating and finished painting to accomplish
BELOW, one of the decisions with Kerry, the Interior designer who helped Sandy and I pick all the primary colors. We decided adding a blue plaster finish to one of the entry walls. You can see one of the first applications and troweling of this process.
Clint is applying the first coats of plaster. I have no idea what to expect as the finish result.
This is another one of the many leaps of faith that Sandy and I have made during this process.
LEFT, Victor applies stain to our newly hung doors.
NEXT is more adventures in flooring.
