Tuesday, I was working at the local office then traveling to Stockton on a road trip to do building audits. So Sandy was the PM on site and responsible for all the photo documentation.
LEFT, Brad the Plumber is ready to install all the fixtures and sinks after the counter tops were set on top of the cabinets.
BELOW, You can see all the parts and accessories you need on the job and we still are short some pieces we have to order.
LEFT, Darrell explains to who ever will listen how he sees the gas line getting hooked up to the cook top and misses the down draft ventilation system.
After a spirited discussion orders are given and the connection process begins. This same process is repeated on each major item as the plumber moved to the next item to be installed and connected with water, gas and/or drained.
ABOVE, This is our goose neck faucets with pull out hose. Note that the apron sink fixture is the sister fixture to the island unit.
RIGHT, This is the one and only garbage disposal in the house. This will grind-up everything feed into its mouth. This unit will be turned on by an air switch on the right of the faucets.
BELOW, the those two knobs on either side of the faucet is the hand and dish washing soap dispensters.
As usual, we had another four truck day in the drive. Someone dared to drive Chevy amidst all the Ford utility trucks.
LEFT, BELOW, Victor touches up the bathroom as Darrell points out where he had to raise the mirrors 3-1/2" high to clear thee new vessel sink faucets. Victor is always with his favorite beverage, coffee.
BELOW, Darrell and Stacy complete the trim around the three windows into the Family Room.
Stacy measures the corbels that will support the granite counter top. This is our buffet counter which we will use to stage food and drink from the Kitchen.
BELOW, Stacy checks for exact levelness while Darrell prepares to move the frig into it's new home in the utility room. The doors may have to be remove to get it through the door ways.
BELOW, Darrell and Stacy figure out the best way to install the down draft vent.
One problem to be resolved is the remote fan switch is not wireless so where do you install it without drilling into the granite?
ABOVE, the sink cabinets with a drawer pull for the garbage containers (left) and door knob for the pots (center and right) and pans storage.
Darrell use a fixture template to locate the correct location for the door knobs and drawer pulls.
BELOW, this is an example of the pantry cabinets and how the knobs are installed in the upper doors.
